The wonderful children who sang the songs
in this CD are all from Yerevan.
The "RiL & G" Children's Choir
is led by composer
Iren Galstyan,
and their creative director and producer is Ruslan Galstyan. These
children are being trained to become professional performers. They
are all about 10 years old, have different characters, different
dreams about their future, but they all have one thing in common
- the love of singing. Albert Torosyan is 9 years old, in this cd
he performed "Come, Sun, Come", "Troublesome Bear",
"The Deer Song", "Almost There" (the School
Song), "The Lake Song" and "Greedy Fish". Katerina
Khachatryan is also 9 years old, and performed "Twinkle, Twinkle,
Little Star", "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Almost
There" (The School Song). Inga Arushanyan is 10 years old.
She sang "Little Quail", "Two Kittens" and "Puppy's
Lesson". Aida Torosyan, Albert's sister, is the oldest in the
group, 11 years old, and she performed "The Duck and the Ball"
and "Almost There" (the School Song). Nareh Hambartsumyan
is 9 years old and sang "The Lake Song".
The majority of drawings (including the cover illustration) are
done by
Simon Elmoyan.
Simon lives in Glendale, and is in 5-th grade now. He was only 9
years old when he did most of the paintings (of course, with some
help from his very talented mother Nune). Simon is very creative
and has won several prizes in Art, Quilting and is a fluent trumpet
player.
